

Lok Lam Emily Chung
Emily is currently a Research Assistant in the Culture Lab. Her research focuses on how political polarization influences people's perceptions and understanding of identity. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Global China Studies from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, followed by an M.A. in Psychology from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Her research interests include political polarization, socio-ecological psychology, phenomenology, and fragmented identities, focusing on how these factors shape individual and collective identities in complex sociopolitical contexts. She is particularly interested in the interplay between societal influences and personal identity, and the impact of overlapping and sometimes conflicting identities on interpersonal relationships and social dynamics.
